In September we are welcoming another artists, Linda Hulme Leahy. Her exhibit called "Reclamation" will be in Round Hill Studio from Sept. 7 to Oct. 4. The opening reception will be Sept. 7 from 7 to 9 PM and Linda will be offering a Talk on Thurs. Sept. 20 at 7 PM.
Linda Hulme Leahy is a mixed media artist using primarily found botanical materials from the gardens and woods at Avalon, her Round Hill home. Some creations incorporate botanicals into clothing or quirky junk store finds which raises the question: is an object degenerating or regenerating?
Hulme Leahy’s recent works have been informed by literature and the Sacred Feminine. She reinterprets and then elevates sidelined and maligned female characters, with a particular focus on Shakespeare.
