Iridescence

Greetings friends!

This week's new additions to the gallery are inspired by what we see when our eyes are open in the dark.

Using Phosphorescent paint mixed with a clear acrylic medium is how we achieved the glowing property of these new collaborative art pieces.

We tried to achieve the natural phenomena of iridescence in nature which occurs in clouds caused by small water droplets or small ice crystals individually scattering light. Similarly, this phenomenon occurs when there is lots of bioluminescence in the water, usually from an algae bloom of plankton.
